Our lab is part of the department of Ecology, Evolution, and Behavior, within the Silberman institute for life sciences at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem (Givat Ram campus).

We study a broad range of things, because many things are interesting, fun and challenging to explore, and their study might even have important implications in a few cases.

Topics include, but are not limited to, the host-associated microbiome and how it may act as a modality of rapid adaptation for its host; the influence of species' life histories on their ability to overcome bottlenecks, purge deleterious alleles, or be at risk due to ecological traps; the dynamics following introduction of alien species; and human evolution, particularly in prehistorical periods, with a focus on populatoin dynamics and cultural evolution.
